Job Overview:
The Director of Kid Planet will champion the process to immerse our children in the good news of Jesus Christ and is willing to explore a variety of avenues to accomplish that goal. We are passionate about our children and hope to connect with emerging generations in new and creative ways. This position requires a genuine calling and giftedness for Children’s ministry. This person will be responsible to
develop a strategy to grow and expand Kid Planet. This includes pursuing new initiatives and developing new strategies in partnership with the vision of the lead pastor and leadership team. This positional will ultimately be responsible for coordinating the overall weekend experience for the Kids Ministry.

Personal life: As an employee of Hope Church, you are an important member to the church staff team.
This position requires that you be available and prepared to share the gospel, pray, teach, counsel, and
minister spiritual care to others. Because of the nature of these types of ministries it is an absolute
necessity that you possess and maintain a testimony or lifestyle that is above reproach in accordance
with Scripture. What you do on your own time, or post on social media, may seriously affect your ability
to perform these types of ministries, which are an important part of your job.
Educational Requirements: Highschool Diploma
Work Responsibilities:
1. Recruit and develop teams of Servant Leaders for Kid Planet.
2. Plan and organize Kid Planet yearly calendar.
3. Ensure coverage for all classroom for Sunday Experiences.
4. In conjunction with lead pastor and in accordance with the overall vision for the church, select age-appropriate curriculum for Sunday, ages 3 through 5th grade.
5. Plan and administer all safety/security training, including background checks
6. Equip parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children
7. Develop comprehensive plan to engage kids outside of Sunday morning worship
8. Communicate with parents, other staff, church membership for the purposes of informing
and equipping.
9. Perform organizational and administrative tasks with excellence, including but not limited
to: - Purchasing supplies - Maintaining a budget - Advertising
10. Attend required staff meetings and developed strong working relationships with other staff members.
